R&D Labs

The people we build alongside

Owl’s Ledge runs research and development labs with a small circle of trusted partners, in two parallel lanes: tech and product enablement — engineering agentic systems in public — and people enablement — researching and leading the human side of AI.

The research is public, the artifacts are real, and together we help organizations become agentic AI enterprises.

Tech & Product Enablement · The Disconnected Frontier

Robert Lavigne

The Digital Grapevine

Generative AI systems architect and narrative technologist, Robert leads The Digital Grapevine — a remote R&D practice pairing 40 years of systems history with agentic AI.

He designs context-aware agentic workflows, rapid prototypes, and practical AI integration that move teams beyond content generation toward coherence, continuity, and real outcomes.

Together, Rob and Trish collaborate on tech leadership and product leadership — building agentic systems in public through The Disconnected Frontier innovation lab and SkillsTrek, and pioneering practical AI evaluation and TEVV in the open.

People Enablement · The Two Mountains of AI

Emma Weber

Being Human in the Age of AI

Founder of Being Human in the Age of AI and creator of the N=1 methodology, Emma helps senior leaders and organizations move from mechanistic to deeply human as AI transforms work.

Her work includes executive coaching, AI-for-Boards encounters, and leadership development that keeps people at the center. She and Trish co-created the AI Transformation Readiness Assessment.

Together, Em and Trish authored The Two Mountains of AI in April 2026 — original research across seven sectors on why high AI adoption stalls before transformation — and built the AI Transformation Readiness Assessment as its diagnostic.
